Stop & Shop To Launch Private-Label Coffee Brand
Stop & Shop will be introducing its own private-label coffee brand in days.
The seven new varieties of its "Taste of Inspirations" will be Bold Barista, Cozy Cabin, Dawn’s Dance, Smoky Symphony, Sunrise Solace, Tropical Twist, and Mellow Moonlight (decaf).
They will be available at the supermarket's 360 stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island starting this weekend, in time for National Coffee Day, on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Last Full-Size Kmart Store In US, Located In NY, Set To Close: Here's Where, When
The nation's last remaining full-size Kmart discount department store is just weeks away from permanently closing, according to a new report.
The New York store, located on Long Island, will close on Sunday, Oct. 20, a store employee told NBC affiliate WJAR in Providence on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The store is in Bridgehampton on Montauk Highway (Route 27).
A smaller format store in Miami, Florida remains open, the report said.
Kmart operated around 2,500 stores at its peak in the early 90s, according to government filings. It merged with Sears in 2005.

Alisyn Camerota, A CNN anchor from Fairfield County, CT and with New Jersey roots is mourning the loss of her husband, she announced in a heartbreaking post on social media.
Camerota, who was born in Shrewsbury, NJ said on Friday, Sept. 20 on Instagram that her husband, Tim Lewis, died on July 27, 2024 — two years after being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Lewis' obituary on the Harding Funeral Home website says that he and Camerota live in Westport, CT.

Man Who Traveled Across NY To Kill Ex-Wife's Partner Apprehended In Capital Region, Police Say
A man was apprehended in the region after authorities say he traveled hundreds of miles across New York to murder his ex-wife's partner.
State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police.
An investigation determined he was en route to Westchester County with three shotguns, police said.
